The Hotel is situated just a few hundred yards from Shanklin Old Village, the Chine, the town centre and the cliff lift down to the Esplanade.
Far enough away to sit peacefully in its beautiful gardens yet only a short walk to everything Shanklin has to offer.

The Hotel boasts 18 bedrooms, 5 of which are conveniently situated on the ground floor. All bedrooms are centrally heated and offer en-suite shower rooms, colour television, hospitality tray and hair dryers. The Hotel also boasts a large car park at the rear of the Hotel. All communal rooms are tastefully decorated and sympathetic to the Victorian heritage of the hotel. The large spacious non-smoking dining room is the perfect place to enjoy a hearty Somerton Lodge breakfast or a quiet candlelit five course evening meal. Why not enjoy a drink from our well stocked spacious bar or just relax in the peace and tranquillity of the non-smoking dry lounge.
The spacious beautiful south facing gardens are a lovely place to enjoy the morning sun over a cup of tea or you may wish to relax and read a paper on the sun terrace. For those guests looking for a more active break the facilities at the hotel next door are available at special rates, the facilities include, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym.

When entering Shanklin, proceed to the traffic lights at the top of the high street. At the traffic lights turn onto Victoria Avenue. The Somerton Lodge Hotel is 400 yds on the right hand side.
